On April 24 a burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of 9th Avenue. A toolbox, tools, and a fuel pump were stolen.

Also on April 24, a vehicle windshield was damaged in the 3200 block Russell Long Boulevard.

On April 25 a female reported that she was scammed out of $800 online. She was attempting to sell a vehicle on Craigslist.

Also on April 25, a man was reported rummaging through the victim’s vehicle in the 200 block of 4th Avenue. He was last seen running from the scene. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

On April 26 a counterfeit $20 bill was passed at Sonic. The investigation is ongoing.

Also on April 26, the restroom at Hunsley Park was vandalized. A City employee reported that someone had spray painted the interior walls.

On April 27 a male assaulted a female in the 800 block of Butterfield. He was arrested and transported to Randall County Sheriff’s Office Jail.

A juvenile was arrested April 27 for possessing a prescription pill at Canyon High School.

Officers responded April 27 to the 1400 block of 4th Avenue on a suspicious package. The package was checked and found to be legitimate mail.

Officers were called April 27 to a disturbance in the 200 block of Mohawk. Officers cited two people for alcohol violations.

Also on April 27, officers were called to the 1300 block of 8th Avenue in reference to a vandalism to a vehicle door.

On April 28 officers were dispatched to Hunsley Park restrooms on several suspicious juveniles. The juveniles were found to be in possession of marijuana. The investigation is ongoing.

On April 29 officers checked out with a suspicious vehicle at Paul Lindsey Park, formerly known as Southeast Park. Officers searched the vehicle and located marijuana. The driver was issued a citation for possessing marijuana.

There were nine reportable crashes this week. The crashes were due to failure to yield right of way, failure to drive in a single lane, speed, and disregarding a red light and a stop sign.
