On May 1 officers made a traffic stop in the 800 block of 23rd Street. The driver was issued a citation for possession of marijuana.

Officers made a traffic stop May 1 at 4th Street and 8th Avenue. The driver was arrested for a second offense of driving while intoxicated.

Also on May 1, officers were sent to FM 2590 and Hunsley Road on a stolen pickup. The vehicle was located in Amarillo through OnStar. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner. The investigation is ongoing.

On May 2 a burglary of a vehicle was reported at 47 Valleyview. A speaker and tools were taken.

On May 3 officers checked on a suspicious vehicle in the N. 200 block of 23rd Street. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Santa Fe on May 3 on a burglary of a vehicle. The victim reported that a 9mm Taurus handgun was stolen.

A scam was reported May 3 to the police department. The victim reported that a male called posing as a deputy. The man told the victim that he had an outstanding warrant. He requested that the victim send money in the form of a Money Pak prepaid card from Dollar General. The victim sent the money and later found that it was a scam.

Also on May 3, a report of debit card abuse was reported to officers at the police department. The victim found an unapproved transaction made on her card in another city.

Officers made a traffic stop May 3 in the 600 block of 23rd Sstreet. The driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On May 4 officers made a traffic stop in the 400 block of 20th Street. The driver was arrested for a third or more offense of driving while intoxicated.

Also on May 4, officers responded to Walmart in reference to a theft. They arrested one female for theft, and the other female was arrested for theft and possession of a controlled substance.

On May 5 officers made a traffic stop at US 87 and Hunsley. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and the passenger was arrested for public intoxication.

Also on May 5, officers responded to Walmart on a theft. A man was arrested for theft and possession of marijuana.

There were three reportable crashes this week. The crashes were all due to speed violations.
