On June 11 officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 38th Street in reference to a residential fire. The fire caused some damage before being put out by Canyon Fire Department. The officers found that the residence had been burglarized. The incident is under investigation.
Officers served a search warrant on June 11 in the 500 block of 3rd Street. They recovered stolen property from a recent theft and two recent residential burglaries. The suspect has been identified, and warrants have been issued for his arrest.
Also on June 11, officers were dispatched to the N. 200 block of 23rd Street in reference to a theft. A female was arrested for the current theft and for an outstanding theft warrant.
On June 15 officers made a traffic stop at US 87 and Hunsley. The driver was arrested on a warrant.
Officers were dispatched June 15 to the 2700 block of 6th Avenue on a vandalism. A window was broken out of a vehicle.
Officers made a traffic stop June 15 in the 400 block of US 60. The driver was arrested for DWI, possession of drug paraphernalia, and for an outstanding warrant.
On June 16 officers made a traffic stop in the 300 block of 24th Street. They located drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and the driver was issued a citation.
Also on June 16, officers were dispatched to Interstate 27 and US 87 on a suspicious male walking near the road. The man was located and found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for public intoxication.
On June 17 officers made a traffic stop in the 2300 block of 7th Avenue. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and for possession of marijuana.
There were six reportable crashes this week. The crashes were due to speed, fail to drive in a single lane, failure to yield right of way and following too closely to another vehicle.
